HEALTH MINISTRY
The health ministry committee promotes and encourages wellness
in the community by providing information and education
tailored to the needs of the parish. Monthly Blood pressure
checks are offered quarterly after the 9:00 a.m. Sunday
Mass.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is an organization of lay
men and women who seek person-to-person involvement especially
in the parish in a spirit of justice and charity to serve
people in need. The group meets monthly on the fourth Thursday.
SOCIAL JUSTICE TASK FORCE
The role of this group is to remind us of the responsibility
we have as Catholic Christians to reach out to the poor
and marginalized among us; to speak out for just solutions
to local, state, and world problems; to educate our parish
community about the position our Bishops are taking on issues
related to justice on the state and national levels.
OUTREACH TO THE SICK AND ELDERLY
Parishioners visit the sick and elderly, pray and bring
Eucharist (some weekly, every other week or monthly depending
on need).
Receive calls from people seeking domestic or medical help.
Hospital visits to parishioners.
Transportation for Sunday Masses for Seniors without transportation.
Visits to Linda Mar Care Center weekly or 3 Senior Residences
(Ocean View, Casa Pacifica and Pacific Oaks).
